Alerts are sent 1 hour after the event

I have setup alert to be sent to my email and also mobile phone. The tests worked fine, however when the server goes down or comes up the alert is sent only after 1 hour. If the server goes down at 10:45pm, the alert to the phone and email is sent only at 11:45pm and so the downtime had been 1 hour already. How can this be changed to have immediate notification? How often is the server status polled for the status?

    Thanks,

    Johnson

Our servers are configured to ping your server every 10-15 minutes and the pings should be available in your logs. Perhaps your server was still responding when it "went down"? We will only issue an alert when your server is unresponsive to our pings.

    Thank you,

Re: Alerts are sent 1 hour after the event

The message informs that the server went down at 9:29 PM and the message was sent at exactly 10:29 PM. Thats what I meant by the delay in notification. The server goes down and it doesn't respond to your pings. The notification is just sent an hour late. Is there any way to make the notification to be sent immediately? Both email and SMS notification have the same 1hr delay.

     Thanks for the reply.

    Johnson,

Would you be able to provide me your company name domain or IP address so I could look at the settings specific to your account?

    Thank you,
    Wendy
